The electricity and water account is 4 months behind. Hugo received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on December unless $300 is paid. He had never been late before a reduction in hours.
Hugo called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $40 first, which isn't available.
The household includes three children under ten, and going through the cold months without electricity and water isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
Hugo is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
