Keep the electricity and water on at Brett's home in Pretoria
A disconnection notice for electricity and water arrived and Brett needs $250 before July.

The electricity and water account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on July unless I pay $250. I have never been late before May's medical emergency.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $50 first, which I don't have.
I live with an elderly mother, and going through the cold months without electricity and water isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $250 goes:
• Electricity arrears: $125
• Reconnection and late fees: $35
• Down payment on a payment plan: $90
