Keep the electricity and water on at Alexandre's home in Contagem
A disconnection notice for electricity and water arrived and Alexandre needs $250 before September.

The electricity and water account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless I pay $250. I have never been late before a reduction in hours.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $40 first, which I don't have.
I live with three children under ten, and going through the rainy season without electricity and water isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $250 goes:
• Utility arrears: $140
• Reconnection and late fees: $45
• Down payment on a payment plan: $65
Glad we found this place.

thanks for sharing this, Alexandre. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
Hope things get better soon. I hope things turn around soon. It's not much but it's yours. Love from Narayanganj.
sending love, Alexandre. Hope this works out for you.
