Keep a roof over Vikas's head in Saket
A court summons for non-payment arrived last week. Vikas needs $500 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Saket.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 6 weeks, I fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Sunday a court summons for non-payment was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $500.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by January, we must leave.
I have a teenager still in school at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working two part-time jobs, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $500 goes:
• Rent arrears (4 months): $320
• Late fees and court costs: $55
• Utilities in arrears: $25
• First month of rent as a buffer: $100

Sending love, Vikas. This could happen to any of us. Love from Mumbai
Take care, Vikas. Looking forward to the next update. Greetings from Yogyakarta.
Best of luck. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I'm in teaching myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you
Thinking of you and your family, Vikas. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best.
