Keep a roof over Titilayo's head in Enugu
A 10-day notice to quit arrived last week. Titilayo needs $400 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Enugu.

After a sudden layoff at the hotel, Titilayo fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Saturday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $400.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, the family must leave.
There are a toddler and a baby at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Titilayo has started working night deliveries, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $400 goes:
• Late fees and court costs: $40
• First month of rent as a buffer: $100
• Rent arrears (2 months): $260
