Keep a roof over Taro's head in Kitakyushu
After a cut in working hours, Taro is 4 months behind on rent and has a court summons for non-payment from the landlord.

After a sudden layoff at the restaurant, I fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Sunday a court summons for non-payment was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $4,050.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by October, we must leave.
I have two young children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working extra hours at a market stall, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $4,050 goes:
• Rent arrears (4 months): $2,950
• Late fees and court costs: $330
• Utilities in arrears: $240
• First month of rent as a buffer: $530

Thinking of you, Taro. Shared this with my family. Please keep us posted.
Sending good thoughts, Taro. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Greetings from Mandaue
Stay strong. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Thinking of Kitakyushu.
