Keep a roof over Satomi's head in Shinjuku
The loss of a second income left Satomi short on rent for 3 months; help us stay in our home.

Following a long illness in the family, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Tuesday a court summons for non-payment was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $3,100.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by December, we must leave.
I've 2 children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working night deliveries, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $3,100 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $2,400
• Late fees and court costs: $145
• Utilities in arrears: $80
• First month of rent as a buffer: $475
Thank you for reading my story.

Stay strong. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Sent it to 32 people at work. Thinking of Shinjuku
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Put this on a community board in Accra this morning. Love from Accra
