Keep a roof over Pooja's head in Bengaluru
A delayed insurance payout left Pooja short on rent for 2 months; help us stay in our home.

When the warehouse closed in August, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Tuesday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $200.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, we must leave.
I've 1 children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working weekend shifts, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $200 goes:
• Late fees and court costs: $20
• First month of rent as a buffer: $140
• Utilities in arrears: $40
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Good luck, Pooja. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Bengaluru.
thinking of you. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home
Hang in there, Pooja. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We're a small family in Abuja but we're thinking of you. All the best
