Keep a roof over Polina's head in Kyiv
A notice to vacate arrived last week. Polina needs $750 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Kyiv.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 8 weeks, I fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Tuesday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $750.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by August, we must leave.
I have two young children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working night deliveries, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $750 goes:
• Rent arrears (4 months): $610
• Late fees and court costs: $35
• Utilities in arrears: $20
• First month of rent as a buffer: $85
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

is there anything that isn't money that would help Polina?
Hang in there. Your post was clear and honest. Thinking of Kyiv.
