Keep a roof over Obiageli's head in Ikeja
A cut in working hours left Obiageli short on rent for 2 months; help us stay in our home.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 12 weeks, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Wednesday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $450.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, we must leave.
I've 4 children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working two part-time jobs, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $450 goes:
• Rent arrears (2 months): $240
• Late fees and court costs: $30
• Utilities in arrears: $20
• First month of rent as a buffer: $160

Thinking of you, Obiageli. Your post was clear and honest. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. All the best.
Wishing you the best, Obiageli. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from São Paulo!
