Keep a roof over Kai's head in San Antonio
After a sudden layoff, Kai is 3 months behind on rent and has a notice to vacate from the landlord.

Following a long illness in the family, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Tuesday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $2,600.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by October, we must leave.
I have two young children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working evenings as a cleaner, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $2,600 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $1,600
• Late fees and court costs: $145
• Utilities in arrears: $210
• First month of rent as a buffer: $645
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from Zanzibar City
Hope you get there. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Take care
Sending good thoughts. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 17 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings.
