After a car accident that kept me from work for 12 weeks, I fell 5 months behind on rent. Last Wednesday a termination letter was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $2,900.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by June, we must leave.
I have two young children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working extra hours at a market stall, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for In-ho.
Rent arrears (5 months) is $2,450 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Fair thing to want to know.
