Keep a roof over Imad's head in Dammam
A notice to vacate arrived last week. Imad needs $2,050 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Dammam.

When the restaurant closed in August, I fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Thursday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $2,050.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, we must leave.
I have a toddler and a baby at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working two part-time jobs, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $2,050 goes:
• Rent arrears (4 months): $1,250
• Late fees and court costs: $220
• First month of rent as a buffer: $580
Glad we found this place.

This could happen to any of us. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Madrid
Rooting for you, Imad. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I hope November is when things finally get easier.
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Imad.
Sure. The biggest one is rent arrears (4 months), $1,250. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks for asking.
