Keep a roof over Heather's head in Allentown
A car accident left Heather short on rent for 2 months; help us stay in our home.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 6 weeks, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Thursday a final eviction notice was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $3,500.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, we must leave.
I have a toddler and a baby at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working night deliveries, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $3,500 goes:
• Late fees and court costs: $420
• First month of rent as a buffer: $660
• Rent arrears (2 months): $2,420

Keep going, Heather. Hope this works out for you. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
Thanks for sharing this, Heather. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Take care
Sending strength, Heather. Hope this works out for you. I'm in public service myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
Take care, Heather. Shared this with my family. Take care.
