Keep a roof over Flávio's head in Rio de Janeiro
After the closure of the factory, Flávio is 5 months behind on rent and has a 10-day notice to quit from the landlord.

When my hours were cut in half in June, I fell 5 months behind on rent. Last Saturday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $750.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by September, we must leave.
I have a toddler and a baby at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working evenings as a cleaner, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $750 goes:
• First month of rent as a buffer: $160
• Late fees and court costs: $75
• Rent arrears (5 months): $515
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
