Keep a roof over Emery's head in Warren
A notice to vacate arrived last week. Emery needs $3,550 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Warren.

After a sudden layoff at the packaging plant, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Friday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $3,550.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by September, we must leave.
I have three school-aged children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working extra hours at a market stall, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $3,550 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $2,300
• Late fees and court costs: $210
• Utilities in arrears: $360
• First month of rent as a buffer: $680
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out.
can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Warren
Thank you. If you're in Warren I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks, that means a lot.
Shared it with a few friends. We're a small family in Embakasi but we're thinking of you. Love from Embakasi.
stay strong. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Warren.
rooting for you. Shared it with a few friends. After 14 years in farming I know how hard it is to ask for anything. All the best.
