Keep a roof over Da-eun's head in Bellevue
After the loss of a second income, Da-eun is 3 months behind on rent and has a court summons for non-payment from the landlord.

After a sudden layoff at the bakery, Da-eun fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Saturday a court summons for non-payment was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $3,500.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by April, the family must leave.
There are two young children at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Da-eun has started working weekend shifts, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $3,500 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $2,250
• Late fees and court costs: $360
• Utilities in arrears: $360
• First month of rent as a buffer: $530
