Keep a roof over Cynthia's head in Arlington
After the loss of a second income, Cynthia is 3 months behind on rent and has a notice to vacate from the landlord.

When the textile factory closed in April, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Wednesday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $4,600.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by July, we must leave.
I have a teenager still in school at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working extra hours at a market stall, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $4,600 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $3,400
• Late fees and court costs: $230
• Utilities in arrears: $185
• First month of rent as a buffer: $785
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

You're not alone, Cynthia. This could happen to any of us. Wish I lived closer to Barcelona so I could bring a meal. Take care!
you're not alone. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Sheffield
Stay strong. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Don't give up. Take care.
