Keep a roof over Batuhan's head in Bornova
A notice to vacate arrived last week. Batuhan needs $700 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Bornova.

Following a long illness in the family, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Thursday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $700.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by July, we must leave.
I've 2 children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working extra hours at a market stall, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $700 goes:
• Late fees and court costs: $70
• Utilities in arrears: $55
• Rent arrears (3 months): $575
Thank you for reading my story.

Any update on how things are going in Bornova?
Wishing you the best. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. After 25 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best.
Sending strength. Shared it with a few friends. I'm in construction myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you
