Keep a roof over Alejandra's head in Tehuacán
A long illness left Alejandra short on rent for 2 months; help us stay in our home.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 8 weeks, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Wednesday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $1,150.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by March, we must leave.
I have three school-aged children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working evenings as a cleaner, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• Late fees and court costs: $95
• First month of rent as a buffer: $300
• Rent arrears (2 months): $755
Thanks for being kind about this.

Thinking of you and your family, Alejandra. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Blessings.
can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Tehuacán!
Thank you. If you're in Tehuacán I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks for looking so closely.
hope you get there. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Tehuacán.
Looking forward to the next update. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Córdoba
best of luck, Alejandra. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon.
This could happen to any of us. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too. God bless
