Keep a roof over Ahmad's head in Jakarta Selatan
After a cut in working hours, Ahmad is 5 months behind on rent and has a court summons for non-payment from the landlord.

After a sudden layoff at the warehouse, I fell 5 months behind on rent. Last Friday a court summons for non-payment was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $600.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by June, we must leave.
I have a teenager still in school at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working evenings as a cleaner, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $600 goes:
• Rent arrears (5 months): $380
• Late fees and court costs: $20
• Utilities in arrears: $40
• First month of rent as a buffer: $160
Glad we found this place.

Wishing you the best, Ahmad. Hope you get there. After 13 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
