After a car accident that kept me from work for 6 weeks, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Tuesday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $4,600.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by September, we must leave.
