Keep a roof over Aarón's head in Puebla

After the closure of the factory, Aarón is 2 months behind on rent and has a termination letter from the landlord.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 7 weeks, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Friday a termination letter was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $1,000. My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by April, we must leave. I've 1 children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else. I have started working weekend shifts, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here. The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done. Where the $1,000 goes: • Late fees and court costs: $100 • Utilities in arrears: $50 • Rent arrears (2 months): $850 Thank you for reading my story.

Updates from Aarón

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($490 in total) I met with the landlord and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 28% now ($285). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for utilities in arrears is now scheduled.
