Keep a roof over Aaliyah's head in Manchester
A court summons for non-payment arrived last week. Aaliyah needs $2,950 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Manchester.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 4 weeks, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Thursday a court summons for non-payment was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $2,950.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by May, we must leave.
I have two young children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working night deliveries, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $2,950 goes:
• Rent arrears (2 months): $2,100
• Late fees and court costs: $130
• Utilities in arrears: $80
• First month of rent as a buffer: $640
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Sending love, Aaliyah. Shared this with my family. Please keep us posted.
Thanks for sharing this, Aaliyah. I hope things turn around soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
I hope things turn around soon. We're a small family in Guarulhos but we're thinking of you.
