Kebede's gallbladder removal can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After gallstones with repeated infections, Kebede was cleared for gallbladder removal, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Kebede was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in May. The surgeon at Addis Ababa Orthopedic Institute recommended gallbladder removal, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,300, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $900 short.
my father has been in and out of Addis Ababa Orthopedic Institute since May. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,300 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Kebede struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Kebede won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
