Kavita's thyroid cancer treatment fund
Kavita is facing thyroid cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
🇮🇳 Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India87 views
Kavita was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in August. The oncology team at Aurangabad University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Kavita is 41, worked as a construction supervisor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Aurangabad University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,250 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $830
• Scans and lab work: $80
• Transport to Aurangabad University Hospital: $85
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $55
• Household costs while unable to work: $200
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Sending strength, Vijay. Wishing Kavita a smooth procedure and a full recovery. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry
praying for you, Vijay. Hope this works out for you. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best
Thinking of you and your family, Vijay. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Don't give up. Blessings.
you're not alone, Vijay. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
