Kathmandu fire in the settlement relief - Hillcrest village
After the fire in the settlement, families in Hillcrest village need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The fire in the settlement hit Hillcrest village on 4 August. My home was one of 73 damaged, and 7 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $950 goes:
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $155
• Tools and labor for repairs: $290
• Food parcels for displaced families: $230
• Roofing sheets and timber: $275
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Looking forward to the next update. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Bogotá.
