Katarzyna was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in August. The surgeon at Warsaw University Hospital recommended cataract surgery, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,850, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $2,700 short.
my wife has been in and out of Warsaw University Hospital since August. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without cataract surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,850 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Katarzyna struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
