Katarzyna was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in August. The surgeon at Katowice Orthopedic Institute recommended ACL reconstruction, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $860, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $600 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Katowice Orthopedic Institute since August. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $860 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Katarzyna struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Katarzyna won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
