Karolina was diagnosed with colon cancer in December. The oncology team at Poznań Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in March. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Karolina is 35, worked as a taxi driver until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Poznań Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $5,850 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,800 • Scans and lab work: $490 • Transport to Poznań Regional Medical Center: $410 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $340 • Household costs while unable to work: $810 I hope life is good to you.
