Karl's final semester of a master's in public health in Berlin
A first-generation student, Karl needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a master's in public health.

Karl is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a master's in public health at Berlin Polytechnic, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $2,100.
The registrar has said Karl can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Karl has a top-ten-percent average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Karl would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Karl isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $2,100 goes:
• Exam and lab fees: $125
• Textbooks and materials: $250
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,725

Good luck, Nadine. Looking forward to the next update.
Hope it all works out, Nadine. Study hard! Sent it to 32 people at work.
as a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. After 17 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings.
So sorry you're going through this. I hope things turn around soon. Sent it to 11 people at work. Thinking of Berlin.
