Supporting Karin through kidney cancer: medication, transport to Johannesburg Regional Medical Center, and living costs while She can't work.

Karin was diagnosed with kidney cancer in November. The oncology team at Johannesburg Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in February. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Karin is 57, worked as a taxi driver until November, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Johannesburg Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,600
• Scans and lab work: $410
• Transport to Johannesburg Regional Medical Center: $190
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $90
• Household costs while unable to work: $560
