Karan's laparoscopic endometriosis surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
A scheduled laparoscopic endometriosis surgery in October is out of reach without help covering $500 of the cost.

In July I was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction. My surgeon at Mumbai Regional Medical Center recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for October. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $710, and after what the government subsidy will pay, I'm still $500 short.
Doctors at Mumbai Regional Medical Center told me a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. I work as a warehouse packer, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $710 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a warehouse packer have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks. I'll not be able to stand for more than ten minutes during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $500 goes:
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $280
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $45
• Physiotherapy sessions: $110
• Travel and lodging for the family: $25
• Post-operative medication: $40
Every share and every dollar helps.
