Kalpana wants to stay at home - help fund four months of care
Kalpana can't afford the care She needs after worsening Parkinson's disease; we're asking for $450.

I'm caring for me, who's 78. After worsening Parkinson's disease Kalpana can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Kalpana desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Kalpana worked all of her life as a carpenter, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $450 goes:
• Part-time carer (four months): $310
• Medication and prescriptions: $95
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $30
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $15
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Kalpana
Sure. The biggest one is part-time carer (four months), $310. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Let me know if you want more detail.
so sorry you're going through this, Kalpana. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Please keep us posted. Love from Bergamo.
