I make my living with my ride-share car. 4 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $800. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $800 goes:
• Towing and inspection: $70
• transmission replacement (parts): $610
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $120

You're not alone, Kai. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My neighbor in Brooklyn donated after I showed her your page. All the best
take care. Hope the shop reopens soon. Sent it to 22 people at work. Take care.
Hope things get better soon, Kai. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best.
hang in there, Kai. Shared it with a few friends. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry
