Justice shouldn't depend on a bank balance: Waylon's work-permit appeal
Help Waylon cover the fees of a work-permit appeal so He can stay with his family.
🇺🇸 United States3,535 views
Waylon is facing a work-permit appeal. The hearing is scheduled for August, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $3,000. Three legal-aid offices have said their waiting lists are longer than the deadline.
Waylon has all the paperwork ready, and a caseworker at Tallahassee Welcome Centre has confirmed that the case is valid.
If the deadline is missed Waylon could lose the right to stay with the family and the job. The children were born here and this is the only home they know.
Funds cover only the filing fees, translations and attorney retainer.
Where the $3,000 goes:
• Attorney retainer: $2,200
• Court-appointed interpreter and travel: $200
• Filing and biometrics fees: $600
Every share and every dollar helps.
