Justice shouldn't depend on a bank balance: Isabel's work-permit appeal
Help Isabel cover the fees of a work-permit appeal so She can stay with her family.

I'm facing a work-permit appeal. My hearing is scheduled for July, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $450. I have been told by three legal-aid offices that their waiting list is longer than my deadline.
I have all of my paperwork ready, and my caseworker at the Ciudad de México Community Legal Centre has confirmed that my case is valid.
If I miss the deadline I could lose my right to stay with my family and my job. My children were born here and this is the only home they know.
I'll share any non-sensitive updates as the case moves along.
Funds cover only the filing fees, translations and attorney retainer.
Where the $450 goes:
• Court-appointed interpreter and travel: $25
• Attorney retainer: $410
• Certified translations and document copies: $15
Thank you for reading my story.

good luck, Isabel. Shared this with my family. I have a 6 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Thinking of Ciudad de México.
Your post was clear and honest. Greetings from Bogotá
Praying for you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
You're not alone, Isabel. This could happen to any of us.
Looking forward to the next update. Thinking of Ciudad de México.
