Jumoke needs a cochlear implant processor upgrade - help us make it happen
A cochlear implant processor upgrade would give Jumoke independence - we're $1,100 away.
🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria1,049 views
Jumoke lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at Lagos General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,100.
Her current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Jumoke could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $50
• Delivery and set-up: $10
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $1,040
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
