Julia received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
A final eviction notice arrived last week. Julia needs $3,000 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Yonkers.

When my hours were cut in half in May, Julia fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Wednesday a final eviction notice was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $3,000.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by July, the family must leave.
There are two young children at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Julia has started working two part-time jobs, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $3,000 goes:
• Rent arrears (4 months): $1,850
• Late fees and court costs: $175
• Utilities in arrears: $230
• First month of rent as a buffer: $745
