Jorge's prostate cancer treatment fund
Jorge is facing prostate cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Jorge was diagnosed with prostate cancer in August. The oncology team at Curitiba Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Jorge is 49, worked as a nurse until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Curitiba Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $3,200 goes:
• Transport to Curitiba Cancer Centre: $260
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,250
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $180
• Scans and lab work: $510
