Jorge was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in August. The oncology team at Mendoza Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Jorge is 29, worked as a construction supervisor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Mendoza Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,750 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $210 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,300 • Transport to Mendoza Regional Medical Center: $240 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
