Jomar was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in December. The surgeon at Quezon City Community Hospital recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and He is scheduled for April. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $830, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $500 short. my brother has been in and out of Quezon City Community Hospital since December. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $830 is more than we can find. While we wait, Jomar struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. The recovery period is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Jomar won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing. I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section. Where the $500 goes: • Hospital stay (2 nights): $330 • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $100 • Post-operative medication: $70 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Francis
