Jide was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in April. The oncology team at the Lagos Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in July. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Jide is 45, worked as a tailor until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Lagos Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,150 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $780 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $65 • Scans and lab work: $175 • Transport to the Lagos Oncology Institute: $130 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
