Ji-hye is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in social work at the Gwangju Institute of Technology, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,550. The registrar has said Ji-hye can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Ji-hye has a 3.6 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Ji-hye would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Ji-hye isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the the Gwangju Institute of Technology bursar's office.
