Jay needs a cochlear implant processor upgrade - help us make it happen
Jay needs a cochlear implant processor upgrade that the health system won't fund; the cost is $500.

I live with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. My occupational therapist at the Nashik Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $500.
My current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $500 goes:
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $400
• Fitting and training sessions: $35
• Delivery and set-up: $25
• First-year servicing plan: $40
Thank you for reading my story.
