Janet needs display cabinets and a cooler to reopen a flower stall
Janet has run a flower stall for twelve years; floodwater destroyed the equipment, and $350 will put it back on its feet.

For twelve years I have run a flower stall in Kampala. In May, floodwater took display cabinets and a cooler. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $350 goes:
• Replacing display cabinets and a cooler: $165
• Initial stock: seasonal flowers: $65
• Shop repairs and licensing: $75
• Working capital for the first month: $45
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Rooting for you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Thinking of Kampala.
Wishing you peace, Janet. Small businesses are the heart of Kampala. Hope you're open again soon. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
small businesses are the heart of Kampala. Hope you're open again soon. After 8 years in accounting I know how hard it is to ask for anything. God bless.
