For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $900. It will serve about 501 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $900 goes: • Materials: $680 • Tools hire and delivery: $105 • Safety equipment and signage: $115 Glad we found this place. - Batuhan
