Jacaranda Primary School needs a repair café workshop - Balaji's neighborhood project
A community-led a repair café workshop at Jacaranda Primary School that will serve 319 neighbors.
🇮🇳 Nagpur, Maharashtra, India1,494 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $550.
It will serve about 319 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $550 goes:
• Materials: $410
• Permits and inspections: $55
• Safety equipment and signage: $65
• Tools hire and delivery: $20
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
