Jacaranda Primary School needs a community fridge - Ronan's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $2,100 for materials.
🇮🇪 Ireland431 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,100.
It will serve about 156 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,100 goes:
• Materials: $1,850
• Safety equipment and signage: $155
• Permits and inspections: $95
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

looking forward to the next update. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Blessings.
Hope it all works out, Ronan. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
