We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $400 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $400. It will serve about 368 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $400 goes: • Materials: $280 • Permits and inspections: $20 • Safety equipment and signage: $45 • Tools hire and delivery: $55 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • hang in there, Ishrat. This could happen to any of us. I hope December is when things finally get easier. God bless

    • Good luck, Ishrat. Hope you get there. After 23 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from Tamale.
